Scottish International Storytelling Festival
Storytelling Court
Talk
Scottish Storytelling Centre

Prof. David Stirrup hosts an opportunity to learn about contemporary Indigenous issues in Canada and the USA. An exhibition of posters highlights the topics, from anti-pipeline protests to cultural appropriation, alongside Scotland’s long historical ties with Indigenous communities, from WWI soldiers to Cherokee Chiefs. Native North American speakers will join academics from the Beyond the Spectacle project and Scottish universities to answer questions inspired by the exhibit. Suitable for all ages and all levels of interest and prior knowledge.
