An opportunity to discover the power of storytelling and role of storytellers in the 21st century. Each day features keynote stories, talks, discussions and workshops in open sessions, allowing for shared reflection ahead of the evening’s storytelling performances.
Are folktales still subversive, fantastic and anarchic, or mainly entertainment? Are they told for more personal, family or social issues? How do you read an audience and draw out interpretations that they can develop in heart, mind and action? Learn from the approaches of accomplished tellers Jan Blake, Heidi Dahlsveen and Ruth Kirkpatrick.

A booking fee of £1 is charged per transaction for online and phone bookings. No booking fee is applied to tickets purchased in person from the Scottish Storytelling Centre Box Office.
